Arena Tours - Brand Refresh

Role: Graphic Designer

Overview: Arena Tours, a prominent Venezuelan tourism agency, needed a full brand refresh to strengthen its market position and appeal to a modern audience. Their existing identity, built around an outdated, low-resolution logo, was holding them back across digital and print applications, including social media and their website.

Challenges: The rebrand came with a few layered problems. The existing visual identity lacked the vibrancy and modernity needed to resonate with today's travelers. The low-resolution logo didn't translate well across different platforms and media, which created inconsistency and diluted the brand image. And underneath both of those, the rebrand needed a real understanding of Venezuelan culture and the travel experiences the country offers, so the new identity could actually capture what made Arena Tours worth booking.

My Approach: I started with market research and competitor analysis to understand the current tourism landscape in Venezuela and identify the trends and consumer preferences shaping it. From there, I ran in-depth interviews with Arena Tours' key stakeholders to understand their brand values, target audience, and desired positioning. Using those insights, I built a full brand strategy that included a new brand name, a refreshed color palette, and a logo designed to communicate the spirit of Venezuelan travel. I explored several design directions, pulling in elements that reflected the country's culture, landscapes, and the range of experiences Arena Tours offers.

Conclusion: The finished rebrand solved the problems the outdated identity had created. The new logo and color palette read as modern and visually appealing, and communicated the spirit of Venezuelan travel in a way that resonated with the target audience. This project demonstrated my ability to run brand research from the ground up, translate it into a real strategy, and turn that strategy into a visually compelling identity.
